Ecoblue (the Adblue® that AALM stocks) is Australian made by well-known brand Mammoth in accordance with ISO22241 standards and is VDA Approved. It is critically important to only trust suppliers of Adblue® with VDA certification. What is Adblue?
Adblue® is a high-quality urea solution with a VDA registered trademark for AUS 32 as an Aqueous Urea Solution 32.5% that is used with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides from diesel vehicles. It is a solution of high-purity urea in de-mineralized water that is clear, non-toxic, safe to handle and not harmful to the environment.
AdBlue® is not a fuel or fuel additive and vehicles have their own dedicated tank.
Using contaminated AdBlue® can damage the SCR system and catalyst.
The AdBlue® trademark is owned by the German Association of the Automobile Industry (VDA), who ensure quality standards are maintained in accordance with ISO 22241 specifications.
The average consumption of AdBlue® in a Euro 6 engine is approximately 4 to 6% of diesel use, so 4 to 6 litre of AdBlue® per 100 litre of fuel burnt.
